Any operating system will run slower and slower over time, due to registry errors. Invalid entries and other issues will make the system hang or crash more often than you would like. Attempting to fix these issues manually may damage the system further, but with the right program, you may clean up the registry and optimize your system. RegCross can remove broken or invalid registry entries fast and safely. You just need to select one or more registry sections, click a few buttons and the software will take care of the rest.

The software's 1.12 MB installation file can be downloaded swiftly, even with slower Internet connections. The setup process is straightforward, so the software can be installed by anyone, including beginners. You will not have any issues regarding system requirements or compatibility and you will not have to meet any special requirements.

The user interface is divided into four sections and you can switch from one to another by clicking the navigation buttons, located on the left side of the window. The first section is the place where you can scan your registry. RegCross allows you to target individual registry locations, such as COM/ActiveX entries, font entries, application paths, empty registry keys, file associations and more. While scanning, the program will display the number of found errors, for each registry section.

When the scanning is complete, you can target one or more errors, by clicking a series of check boxes, in a results list. It takes only a few seconds to clear the identified issues. To prevent any damage, you can set RegCross to back up your registry before you start the scanning process. Backups are listed in a different section of the interface and it takes a single click to restore the registry.

It is also possible to manage startup programs, but a more important feature is the software's scheduler. You can set RegCross to clean up the registry automatically, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, once, at a certain time and date, when the system is idle, when it starts or when you log in.

Pros

The software can identify and repair any issues, in the Windows Registry. It allows you to decide which registry sections to scan and which errors to fix. The schedule feature is quite flexible, making it possible to set up different timetables or triggers.

Cons

Options for selecting or deselecting all scan results or registry sections would make the interface more comfortable. RegCross will spare you from reinstalling your operating system too often. Its straightforward functionality allows you to keep your system healthy, without any effort.
